Apr 16, 2018His memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Baker City Christian Church, 675 Highway 7 in Baker City. Pastor Lennie Spooner will officiate. After the service, there will be a reception in the church fellowship hall. Don was born on Oct. 7, 1942, at Weiser, Idaho, to Paul Myers and June Anderson Myers. He attended Grass Valley High School and graduated in 1960. Don served six years with the National Guard. On Dec. 14, 1963, he married Lois Jacobs at Nampa, Idaho. Don was self-employed and owned Artcraft Paint & Glass in Baker City for 35 years and was known as the “Baker City Paint Man.” If you needed a special color mixed, Don was the guy. Don helped get the fall festival started. He enjoyed working on computers, riding motorcycles, camping and traveling in his motor home. He was very proud to be a member of the Baker City Christian Church and loved serving communion at church. He enjoyed taking his daughter, Renae, and the other cheerleaders to out-of- town games, summer camps and he always took interest in Renae’s education. He was a good husband, father and friend, family members said. The family would like to thank Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel, Encompass, Heart ‘n’ Home Hospice and DHS for their kindness and caring throughout Don’s illness. Survivors include his wife, Lois Myers, of Baker City; daughter, Renae Conkle (Brian) of Portland; granddaughter, Madison Conkle of New York, New York; sister, Kay Beck (Wally) of Edmonds, Washington; sister, Pam Bolick (Larry) of Weiser, Idaho; sister, Wendy Poston of Forest City, North Carolina; half-brother, Gary Myers of Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and June Myers; son, Ricky Lee Myers; nephew, Tony Sheridan; and nephew, Quintin Myers.
